Each year on July 15, the global Sisel family pauses its regular routine to celebrate something far greater than business as usual. We come together to give back to our neighborhoods, to those in need, and to one another. Known as the United Day of Sisel Service, this community service event is held annually in honor of our late founder, Tom Mower Sr., whose passion for health, empowerment, and service continues to guide us.

This day is more than a corporate tradition. It is a call to action, a reminder that each of us has the power to create positive change, no matter where we are in the world. Whether you’re a long-time Sisel Distributor or simply someone who believes in the value of giving back, we invite you to join us on July 15 and be part of something meaningful.

Honoring the Legacy of Tom Mower Sr.

At the heart of the United Day of Sisel Service is a name many in the wellness and entrepreneurship community know well: Tom Mower Sr. As the founder of Sisel International, Tom was a visionary, a scientist, and above all, a servant leader who believed in lifting others. He built this company not just to distribute cutting-edge products, but to empower families and communities around the globe.

Tom’s birthday, July 15, is a natural day of remembrance and reflection for those of us who continue his work. But instead of simply celebrating his life with words, we honor his values through action. For Tom, success was never about accumulation; it was about making a positive impact. That philosophy continues to drive Sisel’s mission and culture.

What Is the United Day of Sisel Service?

The United Day of Sisel Service is a coordinated, global volunteer opportunity that encourages our employees, Distributors, customers, and partners to serve their local communities in any way they can. There’s no single right way to participate. What matters is the spirit behind the action, the willingness to give your time, energy, or resources to uplift others.

This isn’t just another date on the company calendar. It’s a reminder that one person’s actions can spark a ripple effect of change.

Here’s how we’ve made a difference in previous years:

2022: Cleaning Our Communities

In the inaugural year of the United Day of Sisel Service, team members rolled up their sleeves and went outdoors. On July 15, 2022, we organized neighborhood cleanups, removing trash, clearing weeds, and restoring public spaces. From parks to sidewalks, our volunteers turned forgotten areas into welcoming environments, proving that even small actions can drastically improve shared spaces.

2023: Supporting Child Development

The following year, our service took a more hands-on, heart-centered form. In 2023, we assembled motion skill kits for children, carefully crafted packages filled with activities and tools designed to help kids build coordination and confidence. These kits were distributed to schools and non-profits serving underserved youth, providing support where it was needed most.

2024: Comforting Hospital Patients

In 2024, our mission shifted to the health sector. On July 15, Sisel employees gathered to create comfort blankets for patients in local hospitals. These handmade items brought warmth and care to those facing health challenges. It was a deeply personal way to connect with individuals in need and offer a tangible reminder that they’re not alone.

What makes the United Day of Sisel Service truly global is the participation of our entire international family. Each year, not only do corporate employees in Springville, Utah, take part in meaningful service, but team members from our offices in Japan and Europe also engage in volunteer activities within their own communities. Whether it’s organizing local cleanups, supporting youth programs, or delivering care items, our global staff embraces the spirit of service and demonstrates that positive impact knows no borders.

Why This Matters

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a buzzword in the business world—but for Sisel, it’s more than a policy. It’s a way of life. United Day of Sisel Service aligns perfectly with our broader mission: to build better lives through science, service, and significance.

Each July 15, our community reaffirms its commitment to:

  • Service over self-interest

  • People over profit

  • Purpose over routine

When we invest in our communities, we build bridges, spark hope, and set an example for others to follow. This annual tradition reminds us that volunteerism is a powerful tool, one that’s accessible to everyone, no matter their background or profession.

How You Can Participate in 2025

This year’s United Day of Sisel Service takes place on Monday, July 15, 2025, and we want YOU to be part of it. Whether you’re located near Sisel’s headquarters or halfway across the globe, you can make an impact in your own community. Here are a few ways to get involved:

1. Organize a Local Cleanup

Gather a few neighbors, coworkers, or family members and take on a local park, roadside, or trail. A couple of hours of trash pickup and weed removal can dramatically improve the appearance and safety of public areas.

2. Volunteer at a Shelter or Food Bank

Many shelters and food pantries need extra hands, especially during the summer months. Offer your time to sort donations, serve meals, or assist with community outreach programs.

3. Assemble Care Packages

Create small kits with essentials like hygiene products, snacks, and encouraging notes. These can be distributed to homeless shelters, hospitals, or foster care organizations.

4. Support a Local School or Youth Program

Consider donating books, school supplies, or hosting a mini-event for kids in your area. Even helping clean up playgrounds or schoolyards can go a long way.

5. Share Your Story on Social Media

Don’t forget to inspire others by sharing your participation! Use the hashtag #UnitedDayofSiselService and tag us so we can celebrate your efforts across our community platforms.

Volunteer Opportunities You Can Personalize

We understand that not everyone’s schedule or location allows for big volunteer projects. That’s why United Day of Sisel Service is flexible by design. Here are smaller-scale acts of service you can do on your own:

  • Donate blood

  • Drop off flowers at a senior care facility

  • Help a neighbor with yard work

  • Pay for someone’s coffee

  • Leave kind notes around your city

No act of service is too small. When done with intention, it all counts.

Service as a Way of Life

While July 15 is our official community service event, we encourage everyone in the Sisel family to embrace service year-round. Tom Mower Sr. believed in the power of daily impact, through business, through health, and through human connection. United Day of Sisel Service is just one expression of this philosophy.

Our hope is that what begins as a single day of outreach will blossom into ongoing, lifelong habits of giving back. When people come together with a shared purpose, incredible things happen.

Make a Difference With Us

This July 15, take time to reflect, reconnect, and give back. Whether you participate as an individual or rally your entire team, your contribution matters. Let’s make United Day of Sisel Service 2025 our most impactful yet.

Mark your calendar. Set your intention. Invite others.

Together, we can honor the memory of Tom Mower Sr. and continue his legacy of making a positive impact, not just for one day, but for generations to come.
